Local Governing Committee

As an academy, we still have a governing body, now known as the LGC or Local Governing Committee.  Much of the work of the school is delegated from the MAT trust board to the LGC.  Governors play a key role in ensuring that the school runs smoothly, effectively and provides good value for money.  They hold the Headteacher accountable for the performance of the school - from progress of individual pupils to managing deployment of staffing and resources.

Governors can be contacted via school.

Our school Governors are:

  • Chris Heppell - Chair
  • Debbie Aitchison - Parent Governor - Vice Chair
  • Darrell Shimmin - Community Governor
  • Beth Pellymounter - Parent Governor
  • Ruth Collins - Co-opted Parent Governor
  • Nick Besant - Parent Governor
  • Liz Johnson - Staff Governor
  • Lee Haynes - Headteacher
  • Rosemary Royds-Tree - Co-opted Governor
