Between 12 October and 29 November 2020 all admissions authorities for schools in York jointly conducted a consultation on admission arrangements for the admissions rounds for entry in September 2022-23.
The closing date for comments was 29 November 2020. After considering any comments received, the MAT Board, in its role as an admission authority, then formally set (‘determined’) these arrangements on 11 February 2021.
Any objections to our arrangements may be made by parents/others to the Schools Adjudicator by the 15 May 2021. All objections must be received by the adjudicator on or before 15 May 2021, at: The Office of the Schools Adjudicator Mowden Hall, Staindrop Road, Darlington, DL3 9BG OSA.TEAM@osa.gsi.gov.uk Tel: 0870 0012468 Fax: 01325 391313.
Pathfinder Reception Admissions Policy 2022-23
If you are thinking of applying for a place at our school, we do not hold an Open Day, preferring to meet with parents (and their children, if they can come too) individually. In this way, parents get to see the school under normal conditions, giving a much more accurate feel of what we have to offer. Please contact the school office to make an appointment for this.
Our maximum annual intake is 45 children.
Our Reception, or Foundation, Classes ensure that the specific needs of children who are 5 years, and under, are met, in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. In particular, this allows children to develop at their own rate, through structured play and the gradual introduction of more traditional teaching methods.
